Leonard is a lawyer with more than 35 years of international and domestic tax experience, including 15 years with large accounting firms, four years with the Office of the Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service where he participated in several tax treaty negotiations, and 15 years as the chief tax officer of large multinational corporations.

During his career, he has chaired the worldwide tax committee of two large accounting alliances, practiced in both the United States and Germany and has represented companies and individuals on international and domestic U.S. tax matters. Mr. Levin has been a member of the USA Branch of IFA since 1974 and formerly served as the Vice President, New York Region. He is presently a member of the organization’s Council. Mr. Levin has served as a U.S. National Reporter for five IFA Congresses.

A graduate of the University of Chicago, he also has a Masters in Comparative Law degree in German law which included study at the University of Freiburg in Germany and clerking for a German law firm. Mr. Levin is admitted to practice in Illinois, and to the US Tax Court and US Supreme Court. He speaks widely before industry and professional groups in the United States and Europe and has written numerous articles on a variety of tax subjects, primarily on international tax issues.
