Biography

Benjamin formed GRAY TOLUB LLP in New York to better serve the firm’s international clientele, either based abroad and investing in the U.S. or based in the U.S. with multi-national assets.  Among other areas, he has extensive experience in U.S. real estate inbound transactions both from a tax and non-tax perspective.

With French experience at Notaires in Paris and more than 15 years of experience gained with large international firms in Luxembourg and New York, he advised many clients on legal and tax aspects of cross-border transactions. Benjamin notably advised individuals, hedge funds, private equity firms, and multi-nationals in US inbound and outbound transactions. He focuses on:

  • International Taxation;

  • Real Estate;

  • Trust and Estate;

  • Mergers and Acquisitions;

  • Corporate and Partnership Taxation;

  • Tax Controversy;

  • IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Programs; and

  • FATCA.

Benjamin is French, has been working in New York since 2005, and studied law both in Paris (DJCE and Diplôme Supérieur de Notariat de Paris) and New York where he graduated from the Tax LL.M. of NYU School of Law. He is fluent in both French and English.
